Domain Disputes

Most TLD registries are subject to dispute resolution policies regarding domain names registered in them. For generic Top-Level Domains (gTLDs), the ICANN UDRP (Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy) applies. For some gTLDs or for some TLD launch phases, additional dispute policies apply alongside the UDRP, such as Charter Eligibility dispute policies or Sunrise dispute policies.

UDRP (Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy)

CORE introduced the Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) on December 1, 1999. The UDRP is prescribed by Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) for all ICANN-accredited registrars.
